IC 342 (mag 8.4) is a spiral galaxy in Camelopardalis. Although its total magnitude is fairly bright for a galaxy, it covers a relatively large area in the sky so the actual surface brightness is quite low. It's known as the "hidden galaxy". The core of the galaxy is the fuzzy bright spot at the centre. Traces of the spiral arms can be seen to the upper left.
